This workshop, a requirement from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), is for individuals who conduct vision and hearing screenings in school settings. Certifications expire every five years and may be renewed through this training. Participants should bring an audiometer to this workshop. Prerequisites: Prior Vision and Hearing Certification (Participants must bring proof of prior certification.) NOTE: Participants who are 15 or more minutes late must reschedule this workshop.
This course is for those who received a provisional certification from DSHS through a virtual class during the 2020-2021 school year the provisional certification.
