Important Session Information:


Hearing loss creates many challenges for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH), and deaf education teams can minimize these challenges. In this session, you will learn what students who are DHH need to be able to access the curriculum. Topics will include the impact of hearing loss on language development and academic success, types and degrees of hearing loss, Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT), deaf education team collaboration, and appropriate accommodations and strategies for students who are DHH.
