ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to programs serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including assisting programs meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the continuum of placement options.

Important Session Information:


Theory of Mind is critical for reading comprehension in all students and especially for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. In this session, we will explore elements of Theory of Mind including recognizing others' feelings, thinking about consequences of actions, and realizing that someone else may think or feel differently than you do. Strategies to enhance the development of Theory of Mind in students who are deaf and hard of hearing will be discussed.
