Come join us for lunch! In this 60-minute virtual session we will discuss what it means to be inclusive in education and examine ways a culture of inclusion may be established in a relaxed atmosphere where you can feel comfortable to receive quality and thought-provoking information while you enjoy your lunch. Inclusive practices within special education secure opportunities for students with disabilities to learn alongside their non-disabled peers through strategic planning and supports that promote access and progress within the general education curriculum. Feel free to attend with or without your device camera on.
During this session we will also review the history of inclusion in education, discuss inclusive practices and the role they play within specially designed instruction (SDI) and explore the continuum of services within special education.
