Important Session Information:

Teachers want to enable ALL students to succeed, but this can often feel like a unreachable goal. When you attend this 90-minute virtual session we will examine HOW to design lessons to meet the variability of student needs and readiness levels including research-based instructional strategies and practices that support the diversity within the classroom.

Participants will:

  • Review the spectrum of inclusive supports including the legal requirements pertaining to the least restrictive environment for students with special education services
  • Identify key markers of inclusive practices
  • Discuss roles and responsibilities of Specially-Designed Instruction (SDI) within the general education classroom
  • Explore resources that promote accessibility for students with and without disabilities
  • Outline the necessity of valid data collection and progress monitoring for any student receiving intervention

This session is appropriate for special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and anyone else interested in building knowledge on how to increase inclusive instructional practices that support student diversity and variability and SDI implementation within the classroom.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with detailed information on accessing the live zoom session. We ask that all participants plan to have their computer camera on and participate via the chat and breakout room features and to plan to participate in collaborative activities.

The Zoom link below is valid only for the registered participant.

We highly recommend participating in this session's sister session, What is Inclusion? (Session #83513) held immediately prior to this session from 11:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. as part of our Lunch & Learn Series.
