Transition 101



ESC-20 provides resources and training opportunities for parents and famillies of students served within federal programs, including Title I, Title III, and Special Education.

Important Session Information:


Parents will receive an in-depth look at the Federal and Texas Transition process used in their child’s IEP to help them be successful after graduating from high school. This training will cover the importance of self-determination and involving your child in the transition process. This session will a cover an overview of the transition process to include:

• Transition assessments; • Annual individual education program (IEP) goals and post-secondary goals; • Present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFPs); • Course of study; • Coordinated set of activities; • Self-determination; • Summary of Performance; and • Agency Linkages.
