G/T 6 hour update: Depth and Complexity as a classroom culture, framework and foundation

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

Join us to take a deep dive into Sandra Kaplan’s Depth and Complexity Framework to see how it can layer on top of everything you are already doing well in your classroom and make it even better. Walk out with materials and strategies for shifting your classroom culture to be student-centered, SEL supportive, and an environment for all learners to thrive (and teachers!).

This will be a face to face session at ESC-20.  Please bring charged technology to interact with course materials. This course can take the place of a G/T Day 3,4, or 5. It is also appropriate for this course to be a 6 hour update.
