New cognitive demands dictated by STAAR redesign mean that we have to up our reading instruction all day long. Come experience read-aloud with accountable talk and see how to translate that into the academic discourse of STAAR in practical ways. Bring some of your favorite read-alouds to plan for close reading and walk away with lessons ready to go. Participants are encouraged to bring a charged device and charger for this session.
