19 TAC Chapter 74: Of COURSE You Have Questions!

AIS Professional Development

Important Session Information:

School Counseling Cooperative Members: $50

Target Audience: 9-12 school counselors

Emails and calls come in daily from around the region: Can students earn an endorsement if they take Mathematical Models with Applications? Does Statistics count toward STEM? Is English IV required for graduation? What classes can be used for the LOTE substitution? I have a student who took Geometry before Algebra 1...what do I do? Even seasoned counselors question themselves when it comes to the required courses and course sequences referenced in 19 TAC Chapter 74.11-74.14. In this session, we will take a really close look at High School Graduation Requirements (74.11), Foundation High School Program (74.12), Endorsements (74.13), and Performance Acknowledgements (74.14), and we will talk through all the possibilities. Participants should bring their transcripts as time will be given for auditing them with the consultant available for questions and guidance. This session is a must for new high school counselors, but all are welcome to attend to share, collaborate, and learn!

This session is in person. You will receive an email from Connect20 confirming your registration; please be sure to check your spam/junk email. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please call Central Registration at 210-370-5671 for assistance Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
