Learn all about the Unity language system on the Accent 800, 1000 or 1400. This product training will provide participants with an overview of vocabulary options. Participants will practice saying single words and simple phrases in Unity 1-hit. The bulk and remainder of the class will focus on learning the 5 patterns of Unity Sequenced. Throughout the class, basic implementation strategies including temporarily limiting vocabulary with Vocabulary Builder will be reviewed and demonstrated.
A PRC Accent device or laptop is required for this training. Please have an Accent 800, 1000, 1200, or 1400 with the most current software version available. Participants can use a laptop computer pre-loaded with PASS or Empower demo software for Accent. If you want to use a Mac laptop you will need a Windows emulator with PASS or Empower installed. PASS and Empower software are not compatible with iPads.
This training is appropriate for SLPs, OTs, ATPs, educators, family members, and others who support individuals who currently use or may need to use AAC devices.
3 ASHA hours will be provided by PRC.
