Are you a Resource teacher looking to advance your knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction and IEP service and support implementation? If the answer is yes, then these sessions are for you! We will offer coaching opportunities each quarter for the 2022 - 2023 school year. During the virtual, 90-minute session you can expect to receive training around a different specific evidence-based practice each session along with supported lesson plan development. The appropriate audience for these sessions are special education teachers that teach within a resource environment who provide accommodations and often modify curriculum to align with the state standards, but not for those who serve students accessing the standards through prerequisite skills.
For full participation in session activities, please have access to student IEPs, general education grade-level curriculum and activities and/or any other materials you may need for lesson planning. Virtual coaching opportunities will also be offered to present participants following the training. Student confidentiality will be maintained.
There will be a total of 4 sessions on the dates listed below. We recommend that one attend all sessions, however it is not mandatory. Each session requires that you register separately to receive credit.
