Participants will review the bleed control techniques as required for Texas. Techniques include compression, wound packing, tourniquet application, chest seal application, and use of the thermal blanket. Following successful completion of the class, participants will each be provided with an individual Bleed Control Kit. This course of instruction is required annually for all school law enforcement and security personnel; as well as other campus staff the safety & security committee has identified as being expected to respond in the event of an emergency.
