Math Achievement Academy Formative Assessment Grade 3--NO SHOWS

Instructional Services to support clients in implementing effective, research-based curriculum practices around the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.

Important Session Information:

Connect formative assessment and content from the strands of measurement and data to deepen the content experienced in the original Mathematics Achievement Academy, Grade 2. Explore six components of formative assessment and related implementation considerations. Connect whole number operations and fraction concepts explored in the original academy to hands-on activities focusing on measurement and data. Continue exploring how to support diverse learners through grade-level mathematics, problem solving experiences, and discourse strategies. Through hands-on activities, these academies are designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge of mathematics’ concepts and processes, improve overall mathematics instruction, and lead to student success on statewide assessments and post-secondary readiness.

Prerequisite Required: Completion of Mathematics Achievement Academy: Kindergarten-Grade 1, Grade 2, OR Grade 3 is a required prerequisite for this session. Prior completion of the Mathematics Achievement Academy will be verified prior to the start of the session. Participants who have not completed the prerequisite will be removed from the session to allow for those who are eligible to attend.
