In order to effectively support the needs of gifted students, educators need to attend to the affect of gifted and talented students, and focus specifically on their social and emotional needs. Participants will examine characteristics of gifted students that tend to influence social and emotional needs. Outcomes of the session will be opportunities to explore activities that can be embedded into your instructional day to better understand the experiences that mold our students into who they are. Ultimately, this will nurture positive self-efficacy with our students as they go through their educational journies.
This session will be from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM in an interactive Zoom. You will be provided with a final task that you will have to complete to receive your final credit. This will result in 3 hours of credit towards a G/T 6 hour update. We will be offering different 3 hour Zoom sessions throughout the school year to allow you to complete your 6 hour update for the 2022-2023 school year.
