The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004 mandates that each student who receives special education services have an Individual Education Program (IEP) that includes "appropriate measurable post-secondary goals" no later than the first IEP to be in effect when the student is 16 years old.
Join Education Service Center (ESC) Region 20 and several other ESC Regions as the state of Texas provides this FREE training form the SCTN State Leadership team and several other ESC transition consultants. This training will give educators the information and tools needed to write appropriate measurable postsecondary goals as part of a student’s transition plan. Learning to write appropriate measurable postsecondary goals is the foundation for building quality transition services for students with disabilities.
This session requires two registrations. The connect20 Registration will provide the Texas Transition registration, through the confirmation email. The Texas Transition registration will provide the zoom link for the virtual session.
