During this 60 minute power hour, participants will be given a high-level overview of specially designed instruction (SDI), including key instructional terminology, essential components ,and resources for determining and planning specially designed instruction. Determining what to provide to students as specially designed instruction can sometimes be confusing. After completion of this session, participants will have the knowledge to provide intentional support for educators who deliver special education services to students with disabilities and participate in the design and delivery of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This session is appropriate for leaders in the field of special education including teachers, administrators, evaluators, related service providers and specialists, or general education staff who desire to increase their foundation special education program knowledge. Please be prepared to fully engage in discussion and collaborative activities with a device that has access to camera and chat features.
