Professional development for school counselors is aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and supports work in the four service delivery components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.

Target Audience: School Counselors and Social Workers

Research has shown that mindfulness can reduce the impact of stress on the brain and body. In this workshop you will learn the definition of mindfulness, how mindfulness benefits the brain and body and practice basic mindfulness strategies for yourself. You will walk away with hands-on strategies you can use with your students.
