Accommodating for Diverse Learners

Supporting Diverse Learners-
Looking for strategies on how to support all learners? This session will give participants the tools and resources they need to increase engagement and participation for all learners while considering their unique needs.

I Love You Rituals
Participants will be introduced to I Love You Rituals, practice
them & walk away with posters ready to use in the classroom.

From Head to Toe
Children love a good story! We will explore ways to plan
questioning and discussion while getting the children actively involved in the
read aloud through cross content connections. The participants will receive a
read aloud book to take back to their classroom and plan their lessons.

Wishy Washy
Children really enjoy pegging things on lines! Tap into this enthusiasm
and get into some washing line number games. Washing lines are great for their gross and fine motor skills, as well as benefiting their communication and teamwork skills.

Silly Faces
Children enjoy collecting loose parts and using them to create designs.
Using dice and loose parts children will strengthen their fine motor and number skills. Come and enjoy making silly faces!

Try This Instead of That!
Engaging our students encourages their learning! Participants will learn
how to incorporate five key components of active learning to move from paper-based to hands-on approaches that empower the children to engage in learning in multiple ways.
