ZOOM SESSION - G/T 6 hour update: Meeting the Critical Thinking Needs of G/T students - Seguin ISD - Open to All Districts

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

How do we get our students to think critically about tasks, which then enables them to go deeper into the content and raises the level of thinking and challenge for our Gifted and Talented students? Using Depth and Complexity and critical questioning strategies, learn how to get your students to search through details to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts you teach.

This session is for Seguin ISD, but will open to all Districts on June 1.

This session will be a Zoom session from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. There will be a product component that will be submitted to complete your 6 hour credit.

This Training can take the place of G/T Day 4 or 5 or a G/T 6 hour update if not previously taken.
