Target Audience: School staff, adults working with youth
Bullying looks very different today than it did 20+ years ago. In this session we will define bullying and discuss the common forms of bullying seen among children. We will review which signs and symptoms may indicate that a youth is a victim, perpetrator, or in some circumstances, both.
Experiencing bullying can lead to lower mental health quality. Participants will learn about the impact of mental health on those experiencing bullying along strategies to help prevent bullying and resources for those who many need additional support.
Mental Health Mash Up Sessions are presented by Brandalyn Haggerty, Mental Health Education Liaison from The Center for Health Care Services (CHCS).
Each session will consist of 3 presentations that will be provided by CHCS, and two additional community partners.
This sessions community partners and topics will be:
Partners Resource Network - What's the Big IDEA Behind Inclusion?
San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness - Stigma and Substance Use Disorder
