Target Audience: School staff, adults working with youth
The holidays can be an especially difficult time for those who have lost loved ones. In a time of joy and excitement, youth may also be experiencing sadness and guilt. Mixed emotions can be difficult for children to comprehend and accept. This session will offer information on what grief may present itself as in a youth, careful considerations for the school and home environment, and how grief can be addressed in healthy way during the holidays.
Mental Health Mash Up Sessions are presented by Brandalyn Haggerty, Mental Health Education Liaison from The Center for Health Care Services (CHCS).
Each session will consist of 3 presentations that will be provided by CHCS, and two additional community partners.
