The Classroom Speech-Language Services in Secondary Schools - Where the Action Is! workshop provided in March 2023 focused on organizing classroom services for adolescents. This workshop is a nitty gritty follow up about what to do in designing and implementing intervention that will make a real difference in the academic success of middle and high school students. Discussion will be rooted in the TEKS standards for which adolescents (and their educators) are accountable. Participants will analyze standards, curriculum and instructional techniques for underlying language and related cognitive underpinnings and will focus on word sentence and discourse level intervention techniques. (You do not need to have attended the March workshop to benefit from this workshop.)
This program has been submitted for approval of 6 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
We will be providing a hybrid model for this meeting. If you would like to attend in person, please register for Session ID# 98891.
