Virtual: A Toolbox for Success: Strategies for Engaging All Students in Physical Education Settings



ESC-20 provides training and resources for special education related services. A related services cooperative is also available to assist in finding related service providers to support students with disabilities.

**Participants must be registered by 11:59 p.m. on 2/12/2024 to receive webinar information.**

In this session, we will provide an overview of IDEA and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and what is needed for a student to qualify for adapted physical education services. Within the LRE, we will discuss support strategies including collaboration with other indirect service providers to support student learning. We will address instructional strategies linked through Universal Design for Leaning that identifies ways students can access the curriculum such as verbal, visual, and sensory cueing and organizational and management strategies that enable students to participate in activities with necessary supports. Options for grade level outcomes through equipment, instructional and support accommodations with be provided.


This program has been submitted for approval of 2.5 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA). TPTA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
