ESC-20 provides training and technical support related to inclusive services for students with disabilities to gain access to the general curriculum. These supports provide strategies so students with disabilities are actively involved and progress within the general curriculum and on state assessments.

Important Session Information:


Welcome to an empowering training session tailored for new special education teachers! In this enriching workshop, we'll delve into the essential foundations of special education, guiding you on your journey to becoming an exceptional educator for exceptional learners. In this dynamic workshop, we'll explore the fundamental principles and practices of special education from understanding the Individual Education Program (IEP), to implementation of services.

The session will also outline common strategies and tips for organizing your caseload to be effective and efficient in your approach.

Participants will  have a significant amount of time to work on their current caseload; please be sure that you have access to all needed paperwork before joining the session.


Participants will:

Review steps for ARD preparation,

Discuss techniques to increase the organization of their documentation, 

Explore approaches to time management, including setting short and long-term goals, and

Apply tips and strategies in the session to their current cases.
