Know Your CLASS Series: RUNNING IN CIRCLES (CLASSROOM ORGANIZATION-BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT)



Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) provides assistance to districts in the successful development and implementation of a school readiness integration model of coordinated funding that brings school districts, Head Start programs and child care providers together in a mixed delivery model.  ESC-20 also provides leadership to ensure the effective regional implementation of appropriate instructional strategies in early childhood settings through technical assistance and professional development in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and supports parents with Pre-Kindergarten information and eligibility criteria.

Important Session Information:


Today's session will focus on implementing proactive behavior techniques, in order to minimize distractions and disruptions, enabling classroom time to be spent on instructional activities, and increasing the amount of time that children ore immersed in learning throughout the day. Classroom Organization describes specific teaching behaviors that help children develop skills to regulate their own behavior, lets explore how to get there, and how to make the most learning out of each day.
