-An update on the status of the ESC 20 fiber connectivity project
-An overview of the commitment form submission process for 2018-19
-A discussion related to the recently adopted FIRST indicators that will be applicable to the 2019-2020 school year
Our featured speaker for this session will be Omar Garcia. Omar is currently a financial analyst with BoK Financial Advisors. Mr. Garcia is known throughout the state of Texas for his knowledge of the Texas system of public school finance and for his ability to create and maintain a funding template used by virtually all Texas school districts.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude with lunch at noon.

Recommended Credit Hours: CPAs and TASBO-certified participants, who attend in person, may earn approximately 2 credit hours. These participants must sign in and out on a specialized sign-in sheet and will receive a specialized certificate of attendance via email from ESC-20. The specialized certificate aligns with the requirements of TSBPA and TASBO and awards credit hours based on 50-minute contact hours for content time only. CPAs and TASBO-certified participants should use the specialized certificates of attendance (rather than the Connect20 certificates) to report credit hours to TSBPA or TASBO.
