Transition Assessments: Why They are Important to a Student's Success



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Important Session Information:


This session is a comprehensive overview of how an age appropriate transition assessment impacts a student’s success through the Individual Education Program (IEP).  This session will include assessing transition needs, strengths, preferences, and interests as well as developing appropriate, annual IEP goals, post-secondary goals, courses of study, summaries of performance and involving local agencies.  Hands-on examples of select formal and informal assessment techniques/tactics will be provided and used through interactive activities.
