ESC-20 provides training, technical assistance, and resources that support programs serving students with low incidence disabilities (severe and profound cognitive disabilities, medically fragile, deaf/blind).

Important Session Information:


This workshop will provide guidance to teachers working with students with significant cognitive delays. The training will focus on how to bring all the pieces together so that instruction is aligned to the TEKS (District Curriculum Framework), assessment (STAAR Alternate 2), and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) (Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) and Standards Based IEPs), in order to prepare students for STAAR ALT 2 and life! Participants will also receive access to resources that will support teachers through-out the year.
