Under HB 617, the Commissioner requires each school district and charter to designate at least one employee to serve as the district’s or charter's designee on transition and employment services for students enrolled in special education programs.
Transition/Employment Services Designees (TESD) will be able to network and collaborate on effective transition planning and services. Each meeting will break down the transition process in detail. The session will also review the roles and responsibilities of the TESD, and provide resources to help TESD support and improve the transition program at their district.
