This cohort of participants will have the opportunity to implement instructional evidence-based practices (EBPs) with their students that have low incidence disabilities and/or autism. The participants will view online EBP modules, participate in virtual discussions with other participants and an Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) Low Incidence Disability (LID) or Autism Specialist, and also collaborate and share using social media. Each participant will also receive at least one classroom observation of the implementation of a particular EBP to be used for reflection and future training purposes.
This session is intended for teachers that have foundational knowledge and experience working with students with low incidence disabilities and/or autism. Participants need to have previously participated in beginner-level training, such as LID: New Teacher Academy and/or Autism 101.
All sessions will take place after school hours (4:00 pm-6:00 pm).
