Training to be a Change Agent for Healthy, Active Kids and Teachers in Schools



ESC-20 School Health Program provides training and technical assistance to school districts in the comprehensive development of health programs. 
 


Important Session Information:


This workshop will introduce the research on the importance of children participating in active play outdoors.  Information will be provided on how to develop the whole child and the whole teacher/administrator through physical education, unstructured play, and social emotional learning.  Participants will learn behavior change concepts and develop strategies to become a change agent for their schools.  During the session participants will have the opportunity to discuss school policy and communication strategies necessary for effective change.  This workshop is designed for PE and Health Educators in the school setting.  The session will be led by Dr. Debbie Rhea, TCU Professor, Associate Dean of Research in Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the Founder and Director of the LiiNK Project.  Please come dressed to participate in unstructured, outdoor play breaks during the workshop.
