Elementary Make and Take: Targeting Reading Deficits through Small Group Intervention (K-5 Focus)



ESC-20 provides training and technical support related to inclusive services for students with disabilities to gain access to the general curriculum. These supports provide strategies so students with disabilities are actively involved and progress within the general curriculum and on state assessments.

Important Session Information:


This interactive session will lead participants through creating multi-sensory literacy stations, centers and small group intervention activities to target basic reading skills, comprehension, vocabulary and fluency deficits, with a specific focus on students who are struggling learners, such as students who receive special education services. Participants will receive a copy of Judith Birsh's book entitled MULTISENSORY TEACHING of Basic Language Skillsand all needed intervention activity materials. 

This session is recommended for teachers working with students in grades K-5.
