ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to school districts in support of McKinney Vento.

Important Session Information:

Under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) McKinney-Vento Liaisons are authorized to affirm whether children and youth meet the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) definition of homelessness, to qualify them for HUD homeless assistance programs.  This workshop will provide participants with information on the HUD definition of homelessness and identify the similarities and differences from the U.S. Department of Education definition of homeless.  Participants will have the opportunity to share best practices over referring children and youth in homeless situations to housing services.
