AATSP presents--The Libro de Apolonio: A Canvass of Literary Motifs



The LOTE specialists provide professional development and technical assistance for the purpose of improving the linguistic proficiency of all students learning a foreign language. World language educators are invited to networking sessions. The following areas are targeted: research-based practices in foreign language classroom instruction and testing, the LOTE TEKS, the needs of heritage and non-heritage speakers, and the three modes of communication (interpersonal, presentational and receptive) essential to language acquisition in a proficiency-based classroom.

Important Session Information:


The presentation will focus on the literary sources of the motifs found in the medieval novel “The Libro de Apolonio” (ca. 1260) which is written in verse.  We welcome anyone interested in understanding and learning about this work of literature. The process used may be adapted to other literary work and participants are encouraged to apply this analysis to other similar novels and works of fiction.
