Federal regulations require local educational agencies (LEAs, which includes ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools) to maintain effective control over, and accountability for, all funds, property, and other assets and assure they are used solely for authorized purposes.
The Uniform Guidance 2 CFR Part 200 provides Cost Principles for purchases made with federal funds. In addition, LEAs must have written procedures for determining the allowability of costs in accordance with Federal Cost Principles and the terms and conditions of the federal award.
Learning Objectives of this workshop:
- Understand the Cost Principles applicable to all federal awards
- Review the Special Education Consolidated Grant Application Program Guidelines for allowable use of IDEA-B funds
