During Part 4, participants will explore the various types of data to incorporate into a dyslexia evaluation. Participants will use qualitative and quantitative data and practice interpreting and discussing this information with Section 504 or Admission, Review, or Dismissal (ARD) Committees.
In Part 5, participants will use case studies to analyze student data and decide about a determination of dyslexia. Participants will become familiar with a framework for documenting evaluation results, and will use this framework to practice reporting student data to Section 504 or Admission, Review, or Dismissal (ARD) Committees.
PREREQUISITE: It is recommended that participants attend Dyslexia Identification Parts 1, 2, and 3 prior to attending this session. Participants who do not attend the prerequisite will need to print and bring their own copy of the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update with them to this training.
Participants must attend all days to receive credit.
