Important Session Information:

This two-day workshop (11-13/11-14) will present non-traditional assessment and intervention strategies appropriate for the development of communication in individuals with severe multiple differences, developmental differences, and/or autism. Techniques incorporate current research in the areas of communication, education, and sensory integration. Participants will explore a systematic method for assessing individuals with severe and profound multiple disabilities and identify functional abilities and interests. Participants will examine an objective and systematic way to gather the information necessary to determine the individual needs, optimum access methods, intrinsically motivating events, functional vocabulary, and systems for overlay development.

Handouts may distributed via a link to a Google Drive sent to your email 1-2 days before the training so that you may have the option to print it prior to the training. Please bring your device if you choose to view the handouts electronically.
