G/T 6 hour update: Gifted Learners and English Learners: Differentiation (Ingram ISD)

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

In this session, participants will become more aware of the needs of gifted learners and English learners. Specifically, we will explore how to better identify giftedness in culturally and linguistically diverse students, and use strategies that support differentiated instruction in mixed-ability classrooms. Bring any resources and technology that you use to lesson plan to the session.

This session will satisfy G/T Day 4 or 5.  It could also be used as a G/T 6 hour update.

This session is exclusive to teachers from Ingram ISD.
