We all know that gifted students have unique learning needs, but the new TTESS domains and emerging focus on the social emotional needs of students are giving educators a chance to really take these dynamics out and look at how they affect the learners in our care.
How do you tease out the quirks? How do you reign in overexcitibilities and nurture them into strengths? How do you respect but manage the emotional intensities of your gifted students? What does asynchronous mean, and how do we address it in the classroom? How can a student be both gifted and have a learning disability or mental health challenge? How do we address all of those unique needs in ONE classroom?! And what classroom management strategies will create an environment that works for all kids?
Join us for a day of learning about your gifted students social emotional needs and brainstorming strategies that help you foster their growth and the fulfillment of their potential ---all while managing a mixed ability classroom.
