edTPA Local Evaluation



ESC 20 provides an alternative route to teacher certification approved by the State Board of Educator Certification.  
 


Important Session Information:


This session is intended for methods and foundations faculty, university supervisors, and mentor teachers who support or supervise candidates. In this workshop, members of the edTPA National Academy will guide participants through a close examination of the edTPA tasks and rubrics as participants are given the opportunity to review and locally evaluate a teacher candidate's edTPA teaching portfolio specific to a participant's content area/field. The member of the National Academy will also share several instrumental resources along with best practices from successful implementation plans and provide guidelines and best practices for supporting candidates as they are completing their edTPA portfolios. Note: The teacher candidate's edTPA portfolio has been previously locally evaluated, and local evaluation results will be shared with participants to develop a common understanding of the constructs and expectations of edTPA. Time will be allotted for participants to ask questions.
