ZOOM- Personal Graduation Plan (PGP): The Course of Study for Transition Plans



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Due to COVID-19 this full day session has been converted to a half day zoom session.  Zoom ID will be emailed to participants the day before the session.

Texas Education Code (TEC) Section 28.02121 High School Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) Section C states, "A principal of a high school shall designate a school counselor or school administrator to review personal graduation plan options with each student entering grade nine together with that student's parent or guardian."

course of study is a current description of coursework and/or activities to achieve the student's desired post-secondary goals, from the student's current to anticipated exit year. 

This session will discuss how TEC Sec. 28.02121 can be added to the IEP to show a student's course of study and how starting this process in middle school, can support the student in meeting their transition and post secondary goals.
