The retention of effective beginning educators is a priority for all schools, but how do districts accomplish this given the current constraints on resources, such as time, professional learning capacity, and human capital? Join local LEA's in creating a community of practice to connect around new teacher support and mentorship programs. In this first meeting of 2020, we will explore similarities and differences among districts' implementation of programs and initiatives. We will also identify areas where we can leverage the community to enhance current programs and collaborate on future opportunities to best support beginning educators. An overview of HB3, as it relates to mentoring will also be provided.
