This one-day staff development course has been condensed to meet the needs of teachers during the work week. It is designed to help educators as they prepare for the TExES #154 English as a Second Language Supplemental. Participants will become familiarized with the educator standards of the ESL Supplemental framework. The presenter will provide an overview of second language acquisition theories and current research pertinent to meeting the academic and instructional needs of Limited English Proficient students.
