This is a virtual session. Many early learners enter school without an effective way to communicate and are not yet using verbal speech. This session will support teachers in creating a learning environment that meets all students' communication needs. An overview of augmentative and alternative communication systems will be provided as well as strategies to create and support student use of effective functional communication systems based on individual needs.
