This course will focus on the regulatory guidance and best practices for speech-language pathology evaluations in the school setting during times of limited or uncertain access to students for face-to-face evaluations. Various evaluation scenarios will be provided across grade levels and suspected disability types.
Session Learning Objectives:
- Describe regulatory guidance on evaluation procedures and timelines during school closures
- Discuss case studies depicting possible evaluation processes in remote learning contexts
- Create an evaluation plan for a student during school closures
