This session will provide the ethical and rational basis for addressing swallowing and feeding in a school district. Attendees will learn why they need to address it and will be given a framework for getting started in their district utilizing a team approach and a systematic procedure. The framework includes the following: 1). Four foundations for addressing  swallowing and feeding; 2). Essential components and a plan for district implementation; 3). Administrative decisions and considerations; 4). Outline for district implementation

This program has been approved for 2.5 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
