Important Session Information:


The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) mandates specific actions on school districts before a student may be disciplined. This law protects students who fall under "basis of knowledge", Section 504 and/or special education eligibility. This session will discuss steps to take prior to disciplinary action, the discipline process, differences between mandatory and discretionary placements, mitigating factors and much more.

Webinar Session Requirements: Participants must join using a desktop, computer, laptop, Chromebook or other electronic device that allows access to ZOOM. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email from Connect 20 and then a week before the session, you will receive the Zoom link and all other information needed to join session via Zoom.
