Students who are deaf or hard of hearing typically exhibit delays in language which adversely affects the development of literacy. What are ways we can elicit language from our students especially those who are hesitant to communicate? We need to create opportunities to give students a reason or purpose to communicate. In this session, we will explore ways to do just that.
