This session will review the procedures for evaluation and identification of dyslexia, as outlined in Chapter 3 of the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update. We will also explore considerations for evaluating English Learners (ELs).
PREREQUISITE: It is recommended that participants attend Dyslexia Identification Part 1 and Part 2 prior to attending this session. Participants need to have access to a copy of the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update for this session.

This session meets the criteria outlined in TAC §232.11 regarding continuing professional education hours required to renew teacher certification through the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).
