Well crafted Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements are critical in the development of student centered Individualized Education Program (IEP) Goals, content specialization and progress monitoring. In this 60 Minute virtual session, we will:
- Review IEP Goal Federal and State Requirements, TEA Guidance and Local Policy Discretion
- Examine the four components of an appropriately written standards-based IEP Goal
- Review and explore how well written PLAAFP statements drive individualized and measurable IEP goals through impact of disability analysis and data driven strength and need identification
- Discuss continuous data collection and IEP Goal Progress monitoring implications associated with remote learning.
Participants are encouraged to have a sample/draft IEP Goal they have previously generated. Student and district confidentiality will be maintained.
